Anita Holbrow, Director, REC

Anita is Director at the REC, and leading business professional with an exceptional 25 year career spanning private and public sector. Anita is recognised as a thought leader and business innovator within the wider recruitment and employment arena, with a focus on strategic business planning, coaching, brand strategy, customer and sales strategy, marketing led business models, talent and attraction strategy. She has worked with the boards of significant blue chip and recruitment brands, and also trained in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Labour Market Analytics at Durham University and at the University of York. Anita has led on the development and delivery of the National Innovation Fund, pioneered a number of public/private funded partnership recruitment models, created and developed the private business model for demand led intermediate labour markets to support the welfare to work employment programmes, and has led in developing and delivering the governments national employer services programme, which harnessed and established the private sector recruitment model within Jobcentre Plus. Anita is also a recognised leading authority in developing, managing and growing successful commercial, customer centric membership organisations and professional institutes based on private business methodology. During her time at the REC, Anita has led the successful acquisition of a number of Awards for Excellence in business. Having spent time in Europe and North America developing the UK recruitment model within other economies, in 2008 Anita authored the acclaimed Gateway to Success whitepaper, charting the future of global employment, recruitment and workers in a tech driven world. Anita is a sort-after commentator, and is regularly invited to speak at events and conferences as well as providing interviews and editorial for magazines and journals.
